The historic Omni Homestead Resort was built in 1766. A hotel and spa was built on the property because of the 7 natural mineral springs thought to have healing powers. The resort is surrounded by the Allegany Mountains in Hot Springs, Virginia. This is an ideal location for a weekend getaway, or can be easily combined with trips to the nearby Greenbrier Resort and Shenandoah National Park.

Things to do:
Cascades Gorge Tour
One of the most popular activites at the resort is the guided tour of the Cascades Gorge. A nauralist takes visiotors through the gorge past a series of 12 waterfalls. The hike is 2.5 miles and requires moderate walking ability. The guide makes frequent stops along the trail which makes the hike easy for people of all ages. Advanced reservations are recommended. |
Extend Your Trip
This resort is ideal for a family weekend or anniversary trip. We stopped here as part of a week long spring break trip that included 2 nights at the nearby Greenbrier Resort, 2 nights at the Omni Homestead, and 2 nights in Shenandoah National Park. |
